UNN NEWS SHILLONG:With only a few months left for the 2018 Election, Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president, DD Lapang has expressed confidence that the Congress will come back to power after the upcoming 2018 Assembly elections. “We are going to form the Government after the Assembly election scheduled next year,” Lapang said while talking to media persons on the sideline of the function to observed the 73rd birthday of Bharat Ratna Rajiv Gandhi, and the Sadbhavana Divas at Congress Bhawan here on Saturday. When asked about the legislators contemplating to leave the party, the MPCC president said that the party is not aware that there are legislators who wants to leave the party. “But I am confident that none of the regional and national parties would be able to defeat the party in Meghalaya. We would continue to rule the State,” Lapang said.
