UNN NEWS : Many of the chief ministers and governors of the Northeastern states have seconded the suggestion of Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal asking all northeastern states to come together to effectively tackle the challenges posed by Islamic radical forces in the region. The Assam Chief Minister on Monday said that Islamic radical forces had spread their bases in the Northeast and sought inter-state and international cooperation to overcome the security challenge. Talking to newsmen, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma said that when it came to security concerns it was not linked to any particular organisation but all the northeastern states needed to work together in respect of sharing information and inputs and NEC is the right platform for that.
