UNN NEWS :Addressing media persons, Haque said that the University aims to have a medical college by 2020. The only problem is land acquisition, Haque said adding, we have land but it has not been transferred by the state revenue department. He also said that once a medical college will be set up it will be a matter of pride and honour for the people of the state. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma addressing media persons said that acquistion of land has always been a challenge in Meghalaya andnow since the Government of India has given a green signal by releasing funds for the establishment of Medical college in the state, the people of the state will soon have a college which will cater for the needs of the people of the region.
